West Somerset Minerals Railway stations at
​Roadwater and Luxborough Road
A comparison between Roadwater and Luxborough Road stations on the West Somerset Minerals Railway could hardly be different - the former in domestic use the latter a few lumps of stone in some vague order.  To find out more about the West Somerset Minerals Railway please click here.

Its original function as a railway station is still very evident in this picture of Roadwater Station station taken on the 21st Sept 2002 by Roger Winnen Copyright. This station had a timetabled service of fours trains per day.

The West Somerset Minerals Railway climbed to a higher level on the Brendon Hills by means of an incline. The Brendon Hill incline this view up the incline the steepness of the 1 in 4 gradient can be seen to advantage. West Somerset Railway
Diesel Gala
Karl Hewlett kindly advises us that there has been a change of plan concerning motive power at this years West Somerset Railway Diesel Gala from the 20th to 23rd June. To update viewers Peak 46010 will be not attending the gala.
