Plus in Part 2 on Worle, the fenced area just right of centre - between the railway and a lane - was the site of the original Worle Station.

Uphill cutting from 'Devils Bridge' looking towards Taunton. Of great interest is, just beyond the over bridge, the station at Bleadon & Uphill. A Hymek heads towards Uphill Junction with a substantial train. Closed to both passengers and goods on the 5th October 1964. Copyright John Thorn
This very fine picture of 'Devils Bridge' spanning 115' across the cutting was taken by Geof Sheppard on the 9th October 2013. It was from this fine observation point that both the pictures above and below were taken by John Thorn. The bridge is a Listed Building grade II. This picture is published with full acknowledgment of the work of Geog Sheppard.
The 'hydraulic' continues its journey north with far end of the cutting spanned by yet another bridge. Uphill Junction, the devide for either Weston or the avoiding line is just beyond. Copyright John Thorn.
We move now a little south to Bleadon and Uphill station and see 4985 Allersley Hall at the up platform. The station, opened in 1871 closed on the 4th October 1964. The site was briefly home to a Museum. Copyright John Thorn
