I rarely take photos at Truro, I find the light poor most of the time, and the trains are "hemmed in" by the overall roofs. 43079 looks rather nice on the rear of a set with a Penzance - London service.
Prior to this, FGW Driver Lee Macdonald looked from his power car door whilst his Paddington to Penzance train was at Truro. I managed to catch the up service between the signals too.
Finally, with all the careful preparations for the Tall Ships event, the Saturday evening service was disrupted with a set problem at Perranwell. The brakes jammed on, and the set eventually limped to Truro, leaving the one 3 car set to soldier on the branch service with an hourly frequency. Full credit to the FGW team at Falmouth for keeping everyone informed, and getting road transport sorted so promptly. 153370 leads a class 150/2 the one working train into Falmouth around 8.15 o n Saturday 30th. The point work in the foreground is planned to be removed at some point, so was also worth a picture. Kind regards Craig Many thanks Craig.
