Hi Keith, One aspect of the Railways, even today, is that you never know what may happen next. With most movements pre-arranged and known about far in advance, it's super when something acute happens. The West Coast Railways' driver turned up at Par today to simply take 47245 away. What we hadn't bargained for was the COLAS Tamper in front couldn't be started!
The moves were soon worked out however, and the class 47 duly shunted out, and ran around the Tamper machine using the St Blazey line to shunt behind the signal.
The Tamper was soon back in the siding, and the Class 47 veteran was away - right time too! A nice example of Railway folk simply getting along and all helping out. Here are some photos of the sequence.
