With heavy rain already in the Newton Abbot area the planned walk of the sea wall was abandoned, but then with brightening skies at Starcross we decided to head for the Starcross - Exmouth ferry. We were the only members of the public on board. We then took the 15.23 train from Exmouth passing the new station at Newcourt - this is located just after Topsham. We continued on the same train via Exeter St David's to Paignton. Fish and Chips were the order of the day at Paignton, the fish being twelve inches long filling the plate and ourselves for our journey home to the delights of everyone.
