Though 7026 Tenby Castle was withdrawn from Tyseley it is quite possible that the tender could have migrated to Old Oak at a later date. The Western Region had a number of Collett 4000 gallon tenders that remained in use after the end of steam as water, sludge and oil carriers. Coincidentally I have seen Richard Elliott at the South Devon Railway today and they bought a tender in the mid 1970's that was lying at Tavistock Jct . The chassis of this tender is now attached to 4920 Dumbleton Hall though the tank has been replaced with a tank from yet another tender. Regards Justin. Thank you Justin, many thanks for that, however I think that is about as far as we can go on that one but any other discussion points or research welcome.
