We will certainly miss the signal boxes and also of course all the signalmen - our sympathies go out to them. We only hope that they can find further satisfying employment within the rail industry.
One cannot help but wonder what the effect of a lightning strike on Didcot ROC might be once the system is up and running - perhaps the whole railway system might close down - it doesn't bear thinking about! Too many eggs in one basket possibly?
