Acting on a 'Tip Off' Roger Winnen visited Kingsbridge on Saturday 1st June 2013 to examine and photograph an attractive display which has been set up by the 'Primrose Line Volunteers' to commorate the closure of the line fifty years ago. The display features a short length of light railway track, two semaphore signals, a porters barrow, some milk churns and various other replicas of railwayanna. Is located alongside what was the first road over railway bridge on the line from Kingsbridge to Brent. This bridge formerly carried the A379 Plymouth Road is now disused and the railway cutting for the most part filled in. The A379 now passes alongside the old bridge and it is from this that the pictures below were taken.
Also included in this set of pictures is one of the old Kingsbridge station site, this is now a builders yard. Roger thought that some of the cut stone present was from the old station building.
On his way home Roger also visited the site of Millbay station at Plymouth, very little remains.

Millbay station, we're standing on the site. All that remains nowadays are these ornate gate pillars which were once graced with lights. 1st June 2013 Copyright Roger Winnen
