Hello Keith, A surprise arrival to Taunton on Sunday night was BR blue large logo Class 50, 50021 Rodney (or to Trigger, Dave). The journey from Derby at 13.03 started out for Eastleigh but was diverted to Taunton where it arrived behind DCR green 56303 as 0Y56 at 18.30. I believe that the loco is en route for a fresh coat of paint.
The little convoy stayed in the siding on the down side until 07.44 this morning (Tuesday 30th June 2015) when it departed for Eastleigh, running round (I believe) in Fairwater Yard first.
Attached are three images of “Dave the Class 50” – complete with nameplates, on one side at least!
