Progress.  Penzance re-opens. Congratulations all round

2/3/2014

Visiting Penzance Station this morning found platforms 2 & 3 with 153s and 150 units stabled.  Further enquiries revealed that from 21.30 last night trains arrived at Penzance, possibly those in Platforms 2 & 3 as platforms 1 & 4 tracks being covered in rust.  After 08.10 a Class 150 left possibly going to Falmouth with passengers on board.  Further information at the time of going to press was unavailable at the station and buses were still parked in the bus station awaiting orders from control.
Report from Roger Winnen

15 days after the disastrous flooding on 14th February 2014 Penzance station begins to come back to normality.  Congratulations to Network Rail and many thanks to Roger Winnen for faithfully recording of events at the station on the night and also to Roger Salter for his later contributions.
