Thought you might like to see the latest on Laira Bridge from yesterday These show the completed bridge and the new extension (in the same style) across 'The Ride' joining up to the old Yealmpton Branch embankment. The whole shebang is closed at the moment until late Sept ' early Oct while they finish it off. I spoke to one of the guys working there and he said the plan is to carry the cycle path right the way through to Yealmpton. I asked about the railway bridges and he seemed to think bridges would be reinstated - I'm not sure about this as Cylinder Bridge towards Yealmpton would, I think, be a bit of a job to replace. Anyway, that's what he said.
