It was good to learn that 'Isaac' the Goonbarrow Sentinel is still around, and indeed may soon be back to work.
The following may be of interest.
I have read on the very interesting website dedicated to the Exeter and Teign Valley railway that there will be seven return workings (presumably Sprinter) from Newton Abbot to Heathfield and back on 21 December. Fares at £6 adults, £4 children to include a smalll gift, seem very reasonable for travel on a goods only line, and this may be the last chance for the public to travel this line, especially if the log trains to Teignbridge have ended in favour of Exeter Riverside yard for loading. Proceeds to Hannah Rogers School, Stover for handicapped children. Bookings to Newton abbot station. What are we waiting for? John
