This event has proved very popular this year with guest engines 08644 from Laira Depot and the only Clayton D8568 to escape the cutters torch over 40 years ago, being withdrawn from British Railway Service in 1971.
Together with a combination of fine weather this event has attracted the enthusiasts and the general public alike.

Half a 47 move

Further to information provided yesterday concerning a move of 47 738  from the Health & Safety Interative Centre at Plymouth last Friday. Roger Gee has sent us links to pictures of the cab being moved into the centre on  Thursday 6th June 2002 - 15 years 4 months ago and also of the cab in its position at the Centre.
