Hi Keith
With a cloudless sky, I headed up to Respryn with Max our Border Collie to capture some Autumn colours. I tied in my visit with trains between 9 & 10 with the sun steadily rising above the trees and fully lighting the floor eventually for 1A81 passing around 10.02. The mist was clinging on stubbornly to the shaded areas, which swirled across the mainlines as the trains passed.
This location is rather special as it allows a nice shot in either direction, the down main shot beautifully complemented with the rich brown leaves on the trees in the background.

An intriguing message to the voters of Redruth! 57303 departs with 1C99, the 23.50 Paddington - Penzance Night Riviera Sleeper on 6 June 2016. Copyright Keith Barrow N.B. (1) This low bridge has 'caught out' a number of high vehicles over the years - the tally has included at least two double deckers!! The last recorded double decker incident was in July 1996, The tyres were let down in order to extract the bus. Whether the vehicle later returned to service as an 'open topper' for summertime duties is not known!! N.B. (2) The corrugated iron building on the right was a one time GWR garage.
