                                      RECORD RUN

I am told that this pair produced a new steam record in recent years from Exeter to BTM start to stop yesterday (69.1/4mins) eclipsing the run with 5029 on 9th May 2014. The only known faster run was with City of Truro in 1904 and this was non stop as was 5043 in 2014.

This news has come from an on-train recorder.

Impressive !

Best wishes,  Peter Murnaghan  Many thanks
