Crewe Kerne Ken Mumford It was reported that some years ago when Crewkerne was 're-signed' that a blunder was made in that the station was named as in the heading! A lady is reported to have exclaimed that she'd asked to come to Crewkerne so what was she doing at Crewe Kerne? Still we all make mistakes don't we? Thanks Ken for that report. Looking at some of the stations on the Exmouth Branch Roger Winnen See more of the Exmouth Branch on our Features Page CRS Excursion! Alan Harris Alan writes - Attached is a comic card from Valentines Series which I recently purchased of the Penzance Express and I wondered if it depicts an early CRS outdoor event - Ha-Ha-Ha! I thought the "photographer" may have been that wonderful collector of images - Mr. Roger Winnen! The cancellation stamp is smudged but it has an half old pence stamp on it with an image of King George V which a little bit of research tells me that the stamp was issued between 1911 and 1912. It might raise a smile to those reading the website. Kind Regards Alan. There are certain inaccuracies in this picture. The headboard is incorrect, we've never organised a railtour steam hauled over double track, and we would have travelled 1st class, Roger would never have taken this view 'inside the fence'. Many thanks for sharing your postcard with us Alan. Weymouth Shed John Cornelius Dorchester South Mike Morant Water at Wareham
