Hi Keith
I took a trip up Country to "Deb'n" to see the Sulzer diesel running day, following on from the Polar Express activities.
33035 & 45060 both in BR blue glistened in the warm sunshine during the morning of the 4th, and looked and sounded splendid working between Meldon Quarry & the site of Coleford Jn on the old L&SWR line.
33035 would have been a regular visitor in BR days of course, working aggregate from Meldon.

The writing was already on the wall for the Swanage branch when this picture was taken, just a short while before closure and lifting, Standard 4 tank approaching Corfe Castle from Wareham on the 13th July 1966 Yet through grit and determination a very similar view is still possible today some fifty years on.
