Exploring the remains of Mutley Station Plymouth
Roger Winnen

Mutley Station Plymouth known as the gentry station closed on 2nd March 1939 to allow for track alterations in association with the rebuilding of Plymouth North Road Station. In these pictures remains of this station can still be seen today.

A footbridge also crossed over the tracks at this point to the up platform for Totnes, Newton Abbot etc.. Copyright Roger Winnen

Chard
Mike Bojko

I was working in Chard this afternoon and stopped to take a couple of pictures of this Great Western station building. It is now being used a  Factory Shop outlet. With all of the new houses surrounding it there is no chance of a railway returning to the building.
Kind Regards,  Mike   Many thanks Mike - the last time I was there was about 30 years ago, it a tyre outlet at the time and we had a tyre changed on our minibus - free!!  It is good to see the building looking very much a station.
