Track renewals between Redruth & Truro.
Week two, day one between Cardrew and Wheal Bois.
By Mick House.

Last week was the start of a number of weeks of Network Rail renewing track between Redruth and Truro.
Today we are heading from Cardrew under the A3047 road bridge near Treleigh Community Primary School towards Wheal Bois.

'Non stop'
Through Weymouth!

Here's one taken at the end of the line showing the HST pulling in to form the return "Weymouth Wizard." The screen advises: "Please stand clear. The next train is not scheduled to call."   Perhaps the 'Wizard' was going to go past the buffers and form the next Boat Train to the 'Channel Isles'.

There were two scheduled steam trains through Dorchester South on 18/8/2010 but a perceived fire risk saw them diesel hauled. This was the first of the two hauled by class 37 no. 37706 on the approach to Dorchester photographed from Culliford bridge. [Mike Morant]
