I believe that a special is being organised on 10th October with an HST from Paddington to Buckfastleigh (11.15 - 11.25), then back to Totnes and up to Heathfield, then back to Totnes and Buckfastleigh again from where it will return to London. It will pick up at Exeter St Davids, but there is also an option (£25) of joining at Buckfastleigh for the trip to Heathfield and back, which may interest our members.
This is the first train on the mothballed Heathfield line since the timber traffic ceased.
Branch Line Society are handling bookings, so probably best to check their website.
