Hello Keith, I noticed today, during a journey over the Newquay branch, that the Sentinel diesel shunter that seemed to have been cast aside and stood forlornly with a clay wagon on the left as you came up to Goonbarrow Junction from Par, was no longer there. The other shunter, numbered P405, was in the works. Does anyone know what has become of the Sentinel?
My apologies if this has already been discussed, but I cannot recall any previous recent mention.
The 12.13 Par - Newquay had four passengers to Bugle where we lost two and gained three. The 15.01 back from Newquay has about a dozen, picking up two at Quintell Downs, and losing three (I think) at Bugle. Best wishes John

Hi Keith, just a quick note to say that the sentinel shunter at Goonbarrow is alive and well, just receiving some TLC in a siding just over the fence from its usual resting place. I know this as I'm lucky enough to be one of the signallers at Goonbarrow and saw Isaac as the sentinel is named, on my way in to work this morning. Hope this helps, Gareth Thornton.
