Hello Keith, Sorry for the delay - I've been away snapping in Hampshire. Me & my dad headed up to Eastleigh - it really is a railway resort with a Travel Lodge & Wetherspoons outside the station, and superb vantage points to watch the station and busy yards from. I've sent some pictures in the area for interest. A bit out of the way for the website!
I would say 2007 is right for the "silver bullets". It was running when I returned to the county. Use the link below to see a video was taken in Oct 2009 long after the regular run ended. You'll see Maurice Dart and D1015 at Par.

Yes, it is stretching the borders of our 'website region', however as 'tis Craig and he's coming to give us a talk in the Autumn we will excuse this and show you a grand picture taken at Eastleigh in early May 2015. We're looking towards London and Eastleigh station is in the distance. The 66 is heading towards St Denys, then Southampton Central probably for Millbrook. The lines off to the right lead past Eastleigh depot towards Botley, Fareham and eventually Brighton/Portsmouth. Copyright Craig Munday
