Dear Sir, (Keith). I was looking through your excellent website and came across pictures of Cove Halt on the Exeter – Dulverton line.
It might be of interest to you to realise that the GWR Pagoda hut featured in the pictures still survives! After many years in a field on the other side of the main road as a stable, it was bought by the WSR and now resides beside the sea at Doniford Halt (see picture below). This was a new Station built in 1988 by the WSR to serve the nearby holiday camp. The Platform, 1930’s pre-cast concrete sections, was originally Montacute Station on the Taunton – Yeovil line.
