Morning Keith, On Saturday I drove up to Kidderminster, for the final day of the SVR Diesel Enthusiasts Gala. The weather was dull and gloomy all day, so photography was limited. I found Hymek D7029 in blue livery, which in the afternoon was hauled out to the new diesel depot by D1015 Western Champion – this provided much froth to the assembled photographers!
Four images attached, including 50035 Ark Royal, Deltic 55019 and the Western/Hymek as described. Forgive the lack of coaching stock in the images – that’s a personal choice, as if the coaching stock is not in keeping with the loco, I don’t take a photograph of the train.
The journey back to Exeter was uneventful, and the sun eventually broke cover at Cheltenham, for about 2 minutes! Next years’ event is brought forward to May.
