From Martin Duff Hello Keith, There was a trial flow of seaweed traffic with HEA wagons in 1989. The train was hauled by a St Blazey based Class 37 and ran from the docks. There was a photograph in the West Briton newspaper of the day. I've got it *somewhere* and will need to look for it. Traffic was sparse and later trains ran from Truro, again using HEA wagons. As far as I know, traffic went to Carlisle and/or Gobowen. I don't recall any such train running after 1997. Hope this helps. Regards, Martin
Many thanks to Mick and Martin for this info reference the picture and query sent in by Steve Widdowson a couple of days ago.
