A visit to Coombe viaduct and the private surrounding fields courtesy of the farmer in high Summer is an annual treat. The Saturday evening loco hauled is lit superbly here in June / July so I was waiting for a perfect sunny evening. June 14th was such an evening so I was treated to 4 trains in less than 40 mins. Indeed there are 4 down services in the hour of 20.00, so a busy section indeed.
The Voyager on the down Glasgow - Penzance and a class 150/2 on a Plymouth bound local preceded the main event, 57605 on 2C51 17.50 Exeter St Davids to Penzance which passed bang on time. Cheers Craig Many thanks to you Craig
