Exeter St Thomas and a glimpse of Marsh Barton
David Tozer

Gents,
I had a visit to Dawlish Warren today for lunch with my former work colleagues. Sadly it was not possible to board a train at the time I wanted Polsloe Bridge as trains that stop here off peak do not stop at Dawlish Warren,  So plan B, my local bus from home to St Thomas and then the 1032 service to Paignton which started at Exmouth, this service whilst omitting Polsloe Bridge stops at Dawlish Warren. Hurrah.
I was able to photograph 158749 working the 0917 Paignton to Exmouth. Note the Harrington Hump. Not having frequented St Thomas for a while this appears to be a new addition. Then followed a quick shot of the new Marsh Barton Station with still work in progress taken from the train at speed.
By the way the Christmas Lunch was superb.

Many thanks for sending us a picture of your discovery Ian. The paintwork on the board looks as if it has received a few knocks - I see signs of a luggage tie through one of the fixing holes. I wonder where this treasure was heading - not to Penzance I guess!
