The second class 56-worked RHTT set with heavily soiled 56049 and 56094 in charge passing through Bradford on Avon (up and then down) on the murky, misty morning of Sunday November 6th. This was a 3S59 0800 Swindon Transfer Sdgs - Swindon via Bathampton Jcn (rev) - Westbury (rev) - Bristol Parkway (rev) - Highbridge Loop (rev) - Bath Spa and Chippenham. See how the high pressure spray from the cleaning jets quickly coats the locos in thick, stubborn grime as dirt from the ballast gets thrown up!
Note: These are the two locos that made a nocturnal visit to Exeter St Davids on the night of 4th/5th.
The second class 56 RHTT set that worked from Swindon yesterday (5th) with 56096 and 56105 was this morning reportedly on a 3S31 1158 Swindon Transfer - Worcester Shrub Hill trip covering both of the major Cotswolds routes (Stroud and Moreton-in-Marsh) plus the Marches route to/from Shrewsbury and also the Lickey incline. Real Time Trains has all the details!
Another working tomorrow morning to cover, hopefully still 56s rather than the more usual 66s and, please, may the weather (if not, then just the light) be better!

The contractors are removing the glazing, starting at the front of the train shed. You can see the blue sky peeking through the rusty glazing bars in the close up image, courtesy of a brief gap in today's rain clouds!
Kind regards, Paul.
