Penwithers Engineering Trains

Below are some photos taken yesterday (6th) and today (7th) of the engineering trains I have managed to find South of Truro.

Further West South of Threemilestone Colas Rail 70801 and 70806 can be seen from the bridge at Lower Hugus Road. Copyright Mark Lynam

Flying Scotsman stopped at
Slough

I've just received this from Colin Pidgeon who has allowed me to pass this on,
I wonder what sort of coal 60103 was burning?It seemed OK at Kemble for the safety valves lifted whilst being watered!  See MY photo attached, please.Kind regards,  Ken

The reason for Flying Scotsman being stopped at Slough was due to poor coal! Colin.
