For those interested in wagons 6C21 was hauling new 'Hawk' wagons these are rebuilds of MRA side tipper wagons, now split into individual wagons and classed as JNA-Y, pictured at Bristol East on 02/07/23. Copyright Driver Alan Peters.

Stabled at Bristol East Depot was DC Rail 60029 'Ben Nevis' with the Tythrington Quarry service pictured looking towards St Annes Park Tunnel on 02/07/23 - Copyright Driver Alan Peters.
Three smashing photographs caught on a bright sunny morning - many thanks to Driver Alan Peters for the photographs and details. Three working trains doing mundane tasks but how smart the stock and locos and clean the depot.

Hi Keith

A spell in the boxes lately, which has seen me all over the Duchy. Some lovely skies too with the bright sunshine punctuating the duller moments.

Glad to have caught the returning CDAs at St Blazey with the super bracket signal and CDAs in it. Both these railway icons will disappear in the near future.

Penzance on the 4th July saw the weather change all through the shift. People on the sea wall wearing tee shirts one moment, and jumpers the next!

Best wishes for now, Craig.

Cotehele view -
Calstock Viaduct
Mike Bojko
Out and about today at Cotehele when I managed to get a couple of pictures of the Calstock viaduct. It was completed in 1908 when it was part of the Plymouth, Devonport and South West Junction Railway. Sorry, no train travelling across it at the time.
Kind Regards, Mike Bojko

Many thanks Mike. If you're walking from the station it's a steep climb up to the house - but well worth it.
