The Devon Quarryman
Clive Smith

A trip down memory lane with this superb railtour from 1984. 40118 still survives in preservation.
Regards, Clive Smith  Many Thanks Clive

(5) It's just after 4.00 and in fading light and 100 minutes late, 40118 & 40086 round the corner from Okehampton station as they head towards the final destination of Meldon Quarry. Copyright Clive Smith.
Picture
(6) 40118 & 40086 back on to the Devon Quarryman nominally the 15.06 Meldon Quarry - Euston. Not one of my better time exposures. This was the Red Cow Crossing and I was plagued by the inevitable pedestrians crossing and the to-ings and fro-ings of the crossing keeper whose ghostly figure has been cropped out of my photo Copyright Clive Smith.
