Train spotting days in
Cardiff
Adrian King
I hope you will be able to use these two photographs as the quality is not up to the usual high standard's shown on the CRS website. I took them at Cardiff General which was one of our regular haunt's for trainspotting on Saturday's in the early sixties. The first on a typically wet & miserable afternoon in June 1962 showing the very relaxed driver of 7036 Taunton Castle waiting to be off with an express for Swansea. The second photograph shows an unidentified Hall waiting with its train at Platform 2 heading eastbound for Newport.
                         Cheers Adrian
Many thanks Adrian

St Austell Footbridge Flatpack
Julian Stephens

Following its dismantling over the previous weekend, the remains of the old footbridge at St. Austell Station were seen last Friday (1st March 2019) having been unceremoniously dumped in the car park behind the Up platform buildings. What was left could be viewed from Palace Road.

Best wishes,  Julian          Many thanks Julian
We hope to follow the continuing history of this bridge in the future.
