Paddy Bradley
Paddy presented many slide shows of his photographs to audiences of local people who in turn participated with their personal memories of days gone by making for very enjoyable evenings.. Paddys popular shows considerably aided local charities.
To us, railway enthusiasts, Paddy will be remembered for his collection of photographs of old Redruth including pictures of the railways in the area, many of which have featured on our website. Paddy was, until recently, a member of the Cornwall Railway Society.
For those of you who wish to attend and pay respects Paddy’s funeral will be held at 1PM on Friday 24th January at St Stephens Church, Treleigh. For those of you not familiar the church is close by the main line where it passes under the A3047.
Our sympathies to Paddy’s family.

At the time when visits to such sites were normally available following a polite request. In those days two trains normally ran per day from Merehead.
Loaded trains had to run to Swindon to run round to enter the yard from the east. 59004 slowly draws the train through the discharge facility.
