The Class 50 Golden Jubilee Gala takes place this weekend at the Severn Valley Railway with an incredible eleven preserved examples running. What better time to feature these stylish locomotives in their heyday.

One piece of news for the CRS website, The upcoming SVR 50’s Golden Jubilee from Thursday 4th October to Sunday 7th October. In preparation for this event, at least six class 50 locomotives have travelled to the SVR under their own power, two from Bury on the East Lancs Railway and four from Nottingham Eastcroft. I have included some photos of the latter group coming through Birmingham Snow Hill station at about 12:30 on Wednesday 3rd October 2018, on their way to Kidderminster.
The locomotives are : 50017 Royal Oak / 50050 Fearless /50049 Defiance / 50007 Hercules
