Network Rail’s NMT paid its monthly visit to the old LSWR route today, operating from Reading to Salisbury via Exeter.
It is seen passing Pendomer , en route to Salisbury, top – n - tailed by ex-LNER PCs 43299 and 43290, making quite a colourful sight.
At the time of my visit, surveying work was in hand with a view to stabilising the embankments.
