Autumn Farewell

Another Autumn comes to a close across the South West. Just a few random leaves clinging on as a fresh Winter pushes in cold winds from Scandinavia. 

A few photos in the pleasant sunshine of late, including a misty shot of a Castle set at Bethany. The area around Castle Motors still gripped by mist. 

66009 rests on St Blazey around tea time on 29th.

Some images taken at Par overlooking the cutting, a Castle set for the down main, and 66009 for the branch with the wonderful bracket signal pointing the way. How we will miss them when they're gone! 

To see the in the month some glorious light as 66009 headed back from Treviscoe with 8 loaded JIAs. The train is seen at Lanjeth crossing on the branch, then across the valley from Trewiddle towards the viaduct on the mainline. What a view these new houses will have of passing trains!

Weekend movements at
Bodmin General
Chris Bellett

I was signalman today at Bodmin General. On Wednesday 30 November we had Pannier L92 delivered for its xmas/new year visit and today was its first run in service. Some photographs taken from the signalbox for the website of L92 coming off shed to take water and coal before starting its day.
