Redruth - Penzance

​We took a trip from Redruth to Penzance today so here are a few photographs. First , at 10.42 we see a Short (2+4) HST set depart Redruth for Plymouth. Unusually, for the last few days there is a spot of blue sky visible.  Many thanks Martin.

Dear Keith,
May I recommend the excellent FACEBOOK page run by GWS Didcot? This site is updated daily not just with the doings at Didcot, but with reports of historic events such as branch line openings, accidents, old GWR publicity etc. At present there are two Cornish features to be found: a description of a notable 'near miss' on the Cornwall Railway at Par and a photo commemorating the opening of Defiance Platform. The material comes from GWS archives and often has not previously been published.
Really worth a look. Roy
