Many thanks Paul Clive comes west Clive Smith Saturday 1st June saw me visit the Dynamite Brewery Cafe located about 50 yards from the foot of Ponsanooth Viaduct on the Falmouth branch. Quite odd supping an ale whilst looking up at the 150s going overhead. Many thanks to Keith for meeting me off the train and giving me an impressive half hour history walk around the centre of Redruth before catching my bus to Ponsanooth. It was nice to meet you Clive, I'm always pleased to show off the history of Redruth - an interesting town. ![]() Saturday 1st June was the occasion of a trial run of a Road Land Train around Redruth. Bus services to Helston and the Lizard have long been advertised from Platform 3 - outside the station. Here we see the land train passing the station non-stop, it's only calling point for loading and unloading was at Green Lane. Whether the train will become a regular event we'll see. However it appeared to be well loaded whenever we saw it. Copyright Clive Smith You are reminded that on Saturday 15th June there will be a much bigger celebration to commemorate Murdoch Day - no doubt the Road Train will be in operation that day as well as many other attractions.
