Geoffrey Matthews
More photos of mine for your perusal. The first 4 pictures were all taken inside the old Swindon Railway Museum on the
3rd July 1965.
Pic 1 - 3717 `City of Truro'. Which I worked on at Bridgnorth in 1984/5 to get it back into steam for Great Western 150 trips on
the main line.
Pic 2 - Dean Goods 2516.
Pic 3 - The cab of 2515 showing the very polished cab fittings.
Pic 4 - Display of the right hand motion of 4-cylinder locos, having taken down both sets of this motion in very cramped conditions
underneath the boiler of a Castle I can say it is no easy matter.
The other 2 photos show me posing 53 years apart leaning on 14xx tanks. The first on 1466 at Totnes Quay branch on 30th June 1965
and the second on 1450 at Bridgnorth last Saturday 19th May boxed in by a class 50 on the left and Hagley Halls frames on the right.
I've tried to get this last pic a few times but 1450 was always down at Bewdley but has come to Bridgnorth for a wash-out. It now has
been repainted during the Winter in GWR livery.
Hope these photos will be of use to you. Cheers Geoff Matthews
They are indeed, thanks you very much Geoffery.

[I was taking advantage of my flight back to work being delayed by fog in the Channel Islands.
For some reason I never did mind being delayed!!]
We're glad you were delayed too!! Many thanks Ron
