Westerns in Cornwall
Andrew Todman
I hope all is well. Firstly, a huge "thank you" to all involved for keeping our spirits up over the last year with the updates and photos on the site.
Some viewers might find the following youtube channel of interest. A gentleman by the name of Bob Bishop seems to be in the process of uploading footage taken across the Western Region in the 1970s and there is much to enjoy.

The D10xx archive taster series will bring back some happy memories to all Western enthusiasts. Vol. 1. features Penzance & Redruth, and Vol 6 Bodmin Road, Liskeard, Saltash & Plymouth, for example.

Kind regards,
Andrew Todman
This youtube footage is mostly in the Bristol area  and complete with sound brings back the great days of hanging out of the windows. Note the signalling of that era.  The western footage is followed up with quite a long professional film featuring carriage cleaning in the '60's  which I found most interesting. The commentary on this film is by a lady who is definitely not 'West Country'.  Thank you Andrew for this link.
