Incident at Carlyon Bay Andrew Keast DR77901 had hit a tree on 6J88 early this morning and was declared a failure. The down sleeper was cancelled at Plymouth and 57603 uncoupled from 1C50 to work 1Z99 to assist 6J88. The consist slowly drew forward into Par, where it was reversed into Chapel Siding where 57603 was uncoupled. The light loco then proceeded back to Plymouth on 0C50. Many thanks Ross St Austell Viaduct Roy Hart Roy has kindly written in with some an extra observation concerning te view of St Austell Viaduct supplied by Mike Roach. Roy writes :- At the right hand end of the viaduct, in the picture from Mike Roach, Trenance Junction signal box is visible. This was the junction for the long-forgotten Trenance valley branch.
