Signs erected at Long Rock level crossing that will seriously effect taking photos especially parking for the Depot Open Day on 13th April 2019
Cornwall Council, in their wisdom, have decided to do the work in the summer months!!. All being part of the Long Rock improvement work funded by the European Union Development Fund.

Afternoon Roger/Keith, 43002 has reappeared from Laira and arrived on the rear of 1Z05 from Exeter St Davids today at Penzance, spruced up and receiving a brush painted cab and front end repaint, also we had the pleasure of Railgrinders DR79263/273 on Oil 2 siding

Approaching Westbury

43041 'Meningitis Trust' leading the 1A77 0858 Taunton-Paddington approaching Westbury at 0937 on a foggy 24th February.  This PC was part of set 253020, one of the first batch of HST's delivered for the Western Region in 1976-7.  It will be staying with GWR for a few more years as a member of the new class 255  'Castle class'  2 + 4 HST sets although top speed will be limited to 100 mph.

Approaching Aller

With a wave from the driver the 09.19 Plymouth - Paddington diverted via Yeovil approaches Aller on a lovely Sunday morning 24th February 2019. Just 15 minutes earlier these fields were covered in a superb sunlit ground mist. Sadly the sun burnt it off. Would have been up there in my top pics.  Regards  Clive Smith
