Craig's Comparisons
Craig Munday

A few hours covering St Erth yesterday. It is a super box on the sweeping curve that I never tire of watching trains from.
Two trains from different eras yesterday (23rd September 2018), both class 1 expresses! DRS class 37s 37602 & 606 worked the Shrewsbury to Penzance charter and IETs 802009 & 010 working a GWR service train.
What a contrast with the new train and semaphores.
You wouldn't see such a contrast at an airport - flights with a 1960 plane followed by a brand new one at Heathrow! 22nd Sept 2018.
Just a pity the weather was so poor. Still, 2018 has been a fantastic Summer on the whole weather wise.
          Kind regards,  Craig
Many thanks Craig

A very modern image as an IET is seen approaching St Erth. 23rd September 2018. Who'd have imagined such views 50 years ago. Copyright Craig Munday
