GWR have one scheduled working from Barnstaple to Axminster on Mondays to Fridays. It is scheduled to then run from Axminster to Castle Cary and back (except Thursdays when it returns via Taunton). Sometimes it returns earlier to Exeter omitting the trip to Castle Cary.
Over the last few days SWR services have been cut by 50% between Exeter and Salisbury due to units fuel having been contaminated. Tonight the GWR unit was utilised to form special 1900 1Z75 Axminster to Exeter. The service used Class 158 158957 and is seen at Pinhoe.

A trip to Penzance yesterday (23/04/2023) to photograph DR73907 Plasser & Theurer 08-4x4-4S-RT Switch & Crossing Tamper (Photos 1 & 2) that had just arrived with the 6J89 Taunton to Penzance. I think that this machine will be tamping the newly laid Ponsandane sidings.
On my return home I stopped off at St Erth just to see if I could any plant & machinery around no such luck this time, but standing at the station bus stop I did see the St Erth Shuttle bus WK68 BSZ, No: 53865 (photos 3, 4 & 5). Regards Mick House.
