Farewell Derek
We are extremely sorry to report that Derek and Ann are moving on to new pastures leaving Cornwall to set up home at Milverton in Somerset, however Cornwalls loss is Somersets gain.
Derek has been our Indoor events secretary for ten years or so during which time he has engineered a programme full on interest with many of our speakers being railway professionals who have come from far afield. The task Derek which has so successfully accomplished is no easy one bearing in mind the long term planning necessary coupled last minute changes successfully arranged. It was not a job for the faint hearted. Another point not to be forgotten is that during his period of service with indoor events he also, for a year long period, covered the post of Chairman of the C.R.S. We also have to be very grateful to Ann and Derek for the provision of overnight accommodation in their home at Newquay for our eminent speakers.
Many many thanks to you Derek for your time and trouble over the years, neither you nor Ann will be forgotten.
With every best wish for your future happiness at Milverton.
