As the lineup included a lone daytime freight it was well worth the effort, although my choice to go to Seaton Junction, after Axminster, was a mistake. I have modelled the station in 00 gauge for several years and had a somewhat romanticised view of the location, but its overgrown and generally neglected state came as something of a shock. I suppose we should be grateful that the buildings remain and are used for modern purposes, but compared with the well maintained station in Great Western Road, Chard, it looks very depressing.
