I don't know if you have seen this one before but coming from 1898 I think it's rather special. Courtesy of the BFI
Barnstaple Junction across the bridge to Town on the front beam!
Most interesting well worth clicking on - many thanks to you Dave.
Usual backup captions if you need them.
With kind regards, Brian Many thanks again Brian
It has run again this morning so I am hoping to get out to Whimple for it.
Regards Dave Many thanks David
As the lineup included a lone daytime freight it was well worth the effort, although my choice to go to Seaton Junction, after Axminster, was a mistake. I have modelled the station in 00 gauge for several years and had a somewhat romanticised view of the location, but its overgrown and generally neglected state came as something of a shock. I suppose we should be grateful that the buildings remain and are used for modern purposes, but compared with the well maintained station in Great Western Road, Chard, it looks very depressing.
Hope these pics tell the story and let me know if the captions don't arrive intact.
With kind regards, Brian Many thanks indeed Brian.
