Not a day for walking the wall!!
Dawlish
Paul Barlow
Hello Keith,
To compliment Dave Tozer's SWT liveried 158's a couple of 159s on the seawall at Dawlish. I believe these services terminated at Exeter from December that year.
All the best, Paul.

Many thanks Paul, proof that even in a dull month there's chances to get bright colourful pictures. Not surprisingly not a soul in sight of the wall!! Smashing that livery.

Sun, Rain and Corrosion at Par
Steve Sherwood

Dear CRS,

I was passing through Par yesterday and was compelled to snap a few of the signals at Par, to highlight the poor state of some of the dolls. There was a recent query about the disappearing finials and I believe it's due to the salt air and leylandii down there.

Notes....also heavily corroded but not photographed due to rain or being the wrong side of the train are

Par up inner home bracket both signals
Par plat 2 up starter, wonky finial (picd)
Par down outer homes bracket (protecting the down loop)
And Lostwithiel down inner home, orotecting the crossing.

Many Thanks and keep up the great work,
Steve Sherwood

A shot between the lamp posts. Reveals a LED signal post and bracket...possibly a replacement for the down inner home at Par. The finial is a little wonky. 29th June 2022. Copyright Steve Sherwood

Thanks for your report Steve. Yes, sad to note the above negative points, however one must remember that unfortunately soon these semaphores will not be there and you'll no longer have any idea of the status of the signal - enjoy them while you can.
