Ramillies at Dawlish

Hello Roger, I hope you are well ,I enjoyed the pictures of signal boxes.I wonder how much longer ones like Penzance will last? Here is a picture taken at Dawlish almost 39 years ago and it shows 50019 ‘Ramillies’ with the 10.50 service from Penzance to Brighton.A hot and hazy day on 6 August 1983. Hello Michael
An anticipated start will be made on the resignalling of the Cornish Main Line within the next 12 months or so, however it is believed that St Erth and Penzance Signal Boxes will remain operational and should last many more years
