5051 At Newport

Hello Roger, Seeing Clive Smith’s picture of 5051 has prompted me to send this one of the Castle at Newport on a wet 14 September 1985.The train was ‘The Red Dragon’ special from Paddington to Cardiff which I travelled on to Newport. There were two photo run pasts at Stroud on the way down,a thing of the past. Not a classic picture but the blue class 37s on the stabling point are of interest and also the blue and grey DMU..
