After years of wrangling the demolition of the street tramway between Weymouth Goods Yard and Weymouth Quay station finally commenced on Monday 12th October 2020. It is with many thanks to John Smerdon who answered our call for pictures of this sad event.

We welcome Martin Baker to our pages with four pictures he took a long ago while on a holiday in Cornwall - he's using his new scanner with excellent results.
1) 50044 Exeter & 018 Resolution arrive at Liskeard with a Penzance Liverpool. Copyright Martin Baker.
2) Same train ready to depart with the 'nose' of a 47 shunting on the down main just in view. Copyright Martin Baker.
3) A very nicely framed evening shot as 47 (possibly 555) leads 50040 on a Penzance to Bristol. Copyright Martin Baker.
4) 47 076 City of Truro leaves St Austell on a train for Penzance in the Early 70's. Copyright Martin Baker. A lot of interest here, a line of brutes on the up platform, staff loading a trolley. to the right can be seen the evidence of track work which one extended across the parking area and was later reduced to a short siding. Also note the old station building and the old footbridge. The bus shelters are back against the far wall.

Following work tonight I was lucky enough to capture the RHTT (3J12 20.32 St Blazey LIP-Par) at Platform 2 at Penzance, unusually stabled there between 21.54 and departure at 22.24, from the enclosed pictures, the grime associated with RHTT work is taking over 66151 and 66155s' paintwork
